Our Team

The senior team within Aspire have held a range of diverse posts within social care and health services.

The senior management team consists of:


Chief Executive:

Peter Millar, MSc Mental Health Social Work; Dip Social Work/CQSW

Peter has had 44 years experience in social work and community care, including planning, commissioning, developing and delivering services in both Local Authorities and the Health Service in Scotland. He also founded The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in 1993 and established Aspire in 2002.


Quality Development Manager:

Margaret Robertson, RSCN, RGN, BSc Community Health Nursing, Specialist Practitioner CCN

Margaret has 36 years experience in healthcare within the NHS and the Voluntary sector. Margaret's experience and expertise includes Children and Young People, Disability and Complex Needs. Margaret established a Community Children's Nursing Service for Lanarkshire and prior to joining Aspire in January 2008 she was Director of Care for CHAS, establishing Robin House Children's Hospice.


Personalisation Leader:

Margaret Park, HNC Social Science, SVQ 4 Health & Social Care, SVQ 4 Quality Management, Cognitive Behaviour Certificate and IOSH Managing Safely.

Margaret has worked within the social care field for over 20 years and has considerable experience in working with vulnerable people with a wide range of complex needs. 


Service Manager:

Laura Wright, SVQ 3 Health and Social Care, SVQ 4 Health and Social Care, PG Cert Leadership in Drug and Alcohol Studies

Laura has worked in health and social care for over 11 years and has experience in working with vulnerable people of all ages who have faced a variety of challenges within their lives. Working within various roles, Laura has focused on prevention, crisis intervention and recovery focused work with homeless people, addiction and a range of other complex needs.


HR Manager:

Debbie Elrick, Associate Member CIPD, CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management, Advanced Diploma in H&S in the Workplace and Group Training Certified.

Debbie has considerable experience in all Human Resources disciplines having worked in the field for over 14 years, within both the hospitality and social care sectors.


Finance Manager:

Brian Bill, a qualified Finance Manager who has worked within a social care setting for over 10 years.

Other Service Managers and key staff within Aspire bring a range of experiences and qualifications from social care and health services including: Learning Disability, Mental Health, Registered Nurses (General, RMN, RSCN, CCN), Palliative care, Challenging Behaviour, Counselling, Housing Support and Addiction services.
