Support is provided in Lothian and Borders by:
Dalkeith Service
Services at St Andrews Street and High Street in Dalkeith provide temporary accommodation and support to 15 individuals who have been homeless or who have left care services. A dedicated staff team provides emotional and practical support to each person assisting them to increase their skills and confidence, enabling them to access and sustain permanent accommodation. Support is provided on 24 hours per day and this includes waking night staff in one part of the service and staff sleepover in another part.
Outreach Service
Provides community-based support to individuals living in their own homes with the key aim of enabling people to sustain their own tenancies or living situations.
Tenancy Support (TST)
Working closely with Housing Departments this team provides support to individuals who are risk of losing their tenancies and have been assessed as imminently homeless and in need of support to sustain their tenancies.
Klibreck
Provides short - medium term accommodation and support to 13 adults who have been homeless to gain independent living skills and the confidence to sustain the tenancies they move on to.
Aspire's Midlothian Service has extended its remit with the Care Commission to work with adjacent Local Authorities.
Both Aspire's Midlothian Housing Support and Care at Home Services have been renamed as Aspire Lothian and Borders Housing and Support Service and Aspire Lothian and Borders Care at Home Service.
This now enables Aspire to provide Services in Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders.
Additionally Aspire Lothian and Borders Services have extended the range of people that can receive support and now includes older people, adults, young people, and children who may require support relating to addiction issues, physical disabilities, mental ill health, sensory impairments, learning difficulties, and families who have experienced or are potentially facing homelessness.
