We are truly delighted at the success of the award winners and indeed all at Aspire for their unstinting commitments in using their talents to help create better futures for the individuals whose interests we serve. We are also delighted that those efforts have been recognised by the Care Inspectorate in its evaluation reports on our work and in the number of Scottish Care Awards that we have received.

Aspire had 4 finalists in the Scottish Care Awards and were delighted to win 3 Awards

  • Aspire won the ‘Housing Support Provider of the Year’ Award.
  • The Aspire Naloxone Team based in our Glasgow Homelessness Services won the ‘Innovative Practice’ Award.
  • Leanne McLaughlin won the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ Award.
  • Joyce Weir was a finalist for the ‘Housing Support Services Carer of the Year’ Award.

2017

Aspire had 3 finalists in the Scottish Care Awards and were delighted to win 2 Awards

  • The Belleisle Team won the ‘Housing Support Services Carers of the Year’ Award.
  • Sam Cullen won ‘Client Achievement’ Award.
  • Alexis Higgins was finalist for ‘Care at Home Services Carer of the Year’ Award.

2016

Aspire had 5 finalists in the Scottish Care Awards and were delighted to win 2 Awards

  • Kerrianne George; Maxine Dewart; Teresa Dyer & Caroline Murray won the ‘Care at Home Carers of the Year’ Award.
  • Emma McAuley won the ‘Individual Service User Achievement’ Award.
  • Laura McConnachie was a finalist for ‘Housing Support Services Carer of the Year’ Award.
  • Louise McGlone, Colin Hamilton & Paul Copeland were finalists for the ‘Personalisation & Partnership’ Award.

  • Glasgow Homelessness Housing Support Service, was a finalist for ‘Housing Support Services Carer of the Year’ Award.
  • Aspire Housing and Personal Development Services were finalists for the ‘Personalisation and Partnership’ Award.

  • Glasgow Resettlement Service, won the 'Coordinator of the Year' Award.
  • Glasgow Homelessness Housing Support Service, won the 'Housing Support Carer of the Year' Award.
  • Glasgow Homelessness Housing Support Service, was a finalist for the 'Supervisor of the Year' Award.
  • North Lanarkshire SDS Service, was a finalist for the 'Care at Home Carer of the Year' Award.
  • Aspire Housing and Personal Development Services were finalists for the 'Housing Support Provider of the Year' Award.

  • Glasgow Direct Access and Resettlement Services Manager, won the 'Manager of the Year' Award.

  • Peter Millar, Aspire's Chief Executive was awarded the 'Lifetime Achievement' Award.

  • Karen Smith, Glasgow's East End Community Housing Support Outreach Service won the 'Coordinator of the Year' Award.
  • Margaret Robertson who established North Lanarkshire's Self Directed Support Services won the 'Personalisation & Reablement' Award.
  • Aspire was a finalist in both the ‘Housing Support Services Provider of the Year' and in the 'Business Development' Award categories.
