Job Description

Aspire have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our senior management team working closely with all staff within Aspire and reporting to the General Manager.

This is a week day, day shift position with flexible working conditions - we are open to considering full-time and part-time candidates.

The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and lead on the quality strategy for Aspire, ensuring clear support, oversight and reporting across all services. You will create proposals to the Senior Management Team for an improved Quality Assurance System for Aspire, ensuring that the people we support, and employ remain central to all that we do. 

The Quality Assurance Manager will

  • be confident in leading change with a focus on continuous improvement and will work closely with staff to positively implement change activities across the organisation within agreed timescales
  • promote Aspire’s culture of openness, honesty, teamwork, and transparency
  • maintain a high level of professional conduct, working alongside supported people, colleagues, and all third-party stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
  • support operational teams as and when required on a variety of issues in relation to the delivery of high-quality care and support, including service growth and improvement, implementation of standards and policies, and establishment of new services
  • have a lead role in the Policy Development Group and must remain up to date with regulatory requirements and the industry best practice and have this reflected in Aspire policies and procedures
  • provide proactive support to services to meet and exceed regulatory, statutory, client outcomes and organisational standards
  • support teams to achieve KPI’s across the organisation and take supportive action to improve where necessary. 
  • be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the robust quality management system and will conduct internal audits and compile comprehensive objective and evidence-based reports
  • have line management responsibility for the Training and Development Manager and will work closely with the post holder to ensure training budgets are worked to and that the appropriate training is delivered in a timely manner to meet the needs of the people we support, services, employees, statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

About the Candidate

You will have

  • experience of working in regulated setting and the ability to work alongside colleagues to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements relating to quality standards, systems, and processes
  • a high degree of knowledge and experience in high quality management systems with successful evidence of applying this knowledge in practice
  • previous successful experience in quality and audit activities in health and social care this could be in a former Quality role or within a Service Management position
  • a high level of literacy and numeracy with particularly strong writing / reporting skills.
  • the ability to present information and findings to a wide range of audiences
  • excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to develop trusting and respectful relationships, with staff, key stakeholders and people who use the services which motivate people along the journey of continuous improvement
  • a capability to work on own initiative and plan and organise own workload considering the demands within the roles of others
  • an aptitude to be flexible and adaptable to changing demands to meet the needs of the service
  • an ability and willingness to travel to all Aspire services and therefore to be a driver with access to a car insured for work purposes would be advantageous
