Job Description

Aspire Housing & Personal Development Services (Aspire) is an employee-owned organisation committed to optimising the quality of life (and life chances) for the people we support, our staff and their families.

Our staff provide care and developmental support to a wide variety of people of all ages in their own homes or in our homeless accommodation units.  Staff help people with a wide variety of support needs including (but not limited to); people with physical and mental ill-health issues, addiction issues, homelessness and learning disabilities.

About the Role

As Regional Manager you will have the responsibility to manage staff and non-staff budgets, taking appropriate measures to ensure we continue to deliver and grow and develop high quality, robust, efficient, sustainable and financially viable services across a wide evolving geographical area within our homeless services brief.

A team player, you will establish and maintain productive working relationships with HSCP/local authority and other agencies to promote both existing and potential new (joint) initiatives. You will lead on identifying, designing, developing and delivering new business opportunities within your area of responsibility.

Aspire is a legal member of the Glasgow Alliance to end Homelessness. The successful candidate for this role will have an exciting, unique opportunity to help influence genuine transformational change within the delivery of homeless services across Glasgow (and influencing changes far beyond).  Our aim is simple, to end homelessness in Glasgow within 10 years.  We are 1 year into this exciting 10 year project

You will work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators and will help those you line-manage to meet their allocated KPIs.  You will ensure service provision meets all organisational, contractual, regulatory, legal and Care Inspectorate standards via a supportive, inclusive and learning culture which promotes honesty, openness and transparency.

You will work to ensure services are focused on effectively meeting the needs and aspirations of each supported individual, and that services are provided timeously with the appropriate levels of continuity.

You will be responsible for the full employee experience within your areas of responsibility and will lead by example in attracting, recruiting, training and retaining high quality individuals who reflect the values, commitment and ethos of Aspire.  Ensuring your teams are effectively trained, qualified, registered, and have regular 1:1’s, PDP Reviews and Appraisals. 

Reporting to the General Manager you will also be a member of the Senior Management Team and will have direct involvement in the development of Aspire as a whole.

The successful candidate needn’t necessarily have experience in managing homeless services but is someone who has the desire to help other people realise their full potential and has evidence of implementing successful change via collaborative working.  We work closely with multiple councils to develop smarter, better ways of working, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.  Our aim is to provide the highest quality of support to people wherever and whenever they require it.

The role requires registration with SSSC (or equivalent) and being the registered manager for your services.

  • Qualified to hold SSSC registration or equivalent at Manager Level
  • Registered Manager for the Services
  • experienced in managing services within a health or social care setting
  • committed to evidence-based approaches that both drive quality and pursue and secure, measurable positive outcomes which demonstrate best value.
  • able to travel throughout the service locations
  • a driver with a full driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
  • Able to demonstrate continuous learning.
